Most people have more than one passion in their life. One of mine is aviation. Ever since I was a young boy I have loved aviation. So it was a natural fit when I became a photographer that I would some day start taking pictures of airplanes... in particular World War II aircraft... I simply love them! Jets are cool... but there is nothing like the sound of a P51 screamin' off the deck at O-Too-Early in the morning...!!! Photographing people can be one of the most enjoyable assignments a photographer can get. The studio shot, the environmental shot, informal protrait or the simple candid. All can be rewarding. This short port folio of images was taken over several years. Many of these shots were taken while I was working for a major health care system in mid Michigan. Take a few minutes to browse through the images... who knows you may see somebody you know!
I think photographing nature can be one of the most challenging subjects a photographer can choose. However, there is nothing like capturing that instant when all the elements come together to make the perfect image. Knowing that you were in the right place at the right time can get the adrenaline pumping and get you back in the wild again and again...

These photos were shot over the last several years. Most of them were photos of chance. No special lighting, no special set-up. Just being in the right place at the right time along with a little luck and patience...
Enjoy! |
